the what & the why
Nest & Nook is a flexible community and coworking space designed for caregivers, remote workers, and families. It combines a quiet, WiFi-enabled lounge for adults with a connected play area for children, creating a unique environment where work and family life can coexist in harmony.
The “why” is simple. Too many parents have to choose between career, community, and family. Rising childcare costs push many caregivers, often women, out of the workforce, while isolation weighs heavily on stay-at-home parents. Nest & Nook was created as a supportive, neighborly solution, a hybrid space where people can gather, work, and connect while their children play safely within view. our origin story
This idea was born from a deeply personal need. When my children were little, I longed for a space like this, a cozy, practical environment where I could stay productive while still being present with my kids. Over time, I noticed this wasn’t just my need. Friends who were stay-at-home parents often shared how isolating it felt to be home all day, while remote-working parents expressed how difficult it was to balance work and family without a real sense of community.
I wanted to create something that fills this gap. Nest & Nook is my way of building the resource I wish had existed when my kids were younger, something that supports caregivers, working parents, and neighbors alike.
